I don't see anything at all wrong with that.
However, with a stone cold (meaning outside temp or close to it) tranny I've seen somewhat erratic performance out of 4L60-Es. With the cold, thick fluid, I'm not sure that everything times out right in there...not to mention the extra power consumed from the tranny fighting the colder, thicker fluid. So, I'd prefer my tranny be at about 150 degrees or better for track use.

I have a Stage 2 Speed inc 4L60E trans and a SS3800E converter from Yank. Mike told me to use Amsoil Powershift 10w by name is this a version of F-type? Its stickly like glue.

I really can't see any reason why you would want to pre-heat the fluid like that. It'll get up to a decent opperating temp just fine with a little driving.

I hate to sound picky but did you watch them during the process. I know the Pennzoil place I go to normally doesn't have F-type. I have to bring my own. I could see them tossin' in Dextron if they didn't have F-type. They might figure you'd never know.

I bought the stuff my self unfortunantly I only had 20 bucks to my name lol and I bought the cheap f-type fluid for like a 1.25 a qt at autozone.
p.s. the guy who owns the shop is a friend of mine he looked at me like if i was crazy.
