Question Feels like I am Blowing through The Converter.

I had a 99 Camaro until I totaled it last year.I put my drive train in a 2000 Trans Am.Here is the thing,I have a 3800 Vigilaunte Converter and this thing Hit freaking awesome from a roll Nose up Tires spinning,Now in this Trans am the converter Does not hit hard at all,In fact when I floor it feels like I am just blowing though the verter. The guy that did the motor swap told me the Vacuum modulator hose was melted though(Disconnected on the Camaro) and put a new line on the Trans Am.He said I was at full pressure all of the time.So why would my converter not hit hard now? Thanks

Is the rear gearing the same? That was the big thing I noticed between
the Z/28 I test-drove (2.73s) and the SS I bought (3.23s).

Also you might try clamping the vacuum line and seeing if it has the old feeling, that way you know that is the variable and go from there.
