Default Predator W/TC

Hey guys Im just wondering if there is anything besides deleting TM that you could do with predator that would help the tightness/streetability of my converter. I should be getting the car back tommorrow or Friday. Thanks for any info guys.

I upped the line pressure and decreased the shift time. Feels great to me.

Play around with your line pressure settings until you like it. I have mine all the way up with the predator. But definately put the shift time all the way down.

Oh, well no I don't. I didn't look to see that you do. You are right, don't mess with the line pressure if you have a shift kit.

You might need to play around with your shift points as well. I didn't need to adjust them any really, but I hear that results vary from car to car.

Hey guys how do you delete TM with Predator, ive heard that it automatically does it when you plug it in the first time but I just want to make sure. Would it be ok to up the line pressure just a tad even with the shift kit. Thanks guys

You only need to up line pressure if you're overpowering
the clutches; otherwise, it's wasteful, makes the trans a
bit slower-shifting and (if you go to far) you can blow
out some seals. If you wanted line pressure adjusted,
you would need a line pressure gauge or have a tech do
it to the upper spec limit.

Reducing the adaptation time (shift time) will probably
fix the things you don't like about the trans' shifting,
things you might interpret as a low pressure problem
but really being more to do with how the trans is
commanded to apply the pressure it already has at its
disposal.

I believe some shift kits may mess with pressure (the
"washers" are shimming something). I think you should
not mess with line pressure unless you have the gauge
and know what the safe line pressure limit is, and what
conditions to find peak pressure under. Then, "a little"
can be judged properly. There are other threads here
that talk about safe line pressure & effects of too much.
