Default 4l60e shifting issues

ok so basically i have a 2002 trans am ws6 it only has 33k miles on it and does not seem to want to shift properly it seems like it starts off in first and will not shift until 3k rpm as long as you let off the gas then it will not shift past this point but if you pull it out of drive back to one it downs shifts , but 2nd and third after it comes out of the first gear acts like neutral on the indicator, i have already replaced the shift solenoids in the tranny the fluid is fine the and there was not even a flake of metal or anything for that matter in the pan. plus once the car is moving after the 3k let off shift if you try to stomp it its like neutral it will hit the rev limiter, and im not sure if the car is suppossed to do this or not but once moving at say like 35 40 and you let off the pedal the cars rpms plummet like back all the way down to idle im just lost this car is bearly driven maybe once every two weeks and most of that is only to car shows plz help

well i would sugest a good tune mabe be able to help the problem. not saying it will. find someone who can really go in the trans tune and try and find out whats going on. see what the pressure tables look like. thats my 2 cents.
a bedass tune goes a long way in an auto car. when i got mine tuned it was like having a whole different car. also mabe look into a good trans cooler.

Try this place the car in manual 1 and start off then shift to second and hold to high rpm. Does it shift to second? If not while at High RPM move the shifter to the D3 position and let off gas a little. Does it shift then?

youre having the same problem im having and im starting to think it could be the 2-4 band... car starts in 1st, skips 2nd, ans shifts into 3rd at almost 3k rpm...

I would suspect a mechanical issue Band or 3-4 clutch set or both then

yes basically but like i said if you manually leave out of first and move it too second it wont shift and acts like its in neutral, then i tried third and same thing wont shift and acts like neutral, once in drive it will shift out of 1st into what i believe is second only after you bring the car to 3k rpm and let off the gas

yea im kinda having the same problem, i installed an aftermarket flexible dipstick tube, and it doesn't read accurately, so i could have low or too much fluid, but my new maf fucked up so i think this is the culprit

I still think your are missing 2nd and 4th and only have first and 3rd
You see if the 2-4 band is damaged and you shift to second from 1st basically nothing will happen. Now once in D or OD position and the RPM/SPEED are fast enough you will get a shift to 3rd but 4th will not be possible
