I would go back over the shift kit that sounds like the source of the issue

When you say that it binds in first gear, does it feel like a trans brake? Meaning like the car will hardly move.

As frank said there might be an issue with the shift kit install. But another thing to consider is you might be cross feeding another clutch like the 3-4 clutch. This will cause a bind in manual low. Might explain the 3-4 clutch failure if the low level condition was not the cause. Just an idea.

Also if your transmission is in a limp mode condition(3rd gear starts) it will bind when the shifter is in manual low. This is something that happens with the hd-2 kit. Might want to check for codes to see if this is a possibility. Vince B

it’s not in limp mode when I slow down to a stop I feel it go in to 1st but when I get on it from a stop it likes to shift in to second fast, here is another note it will work great when it is cold, I don’t have a trans cooler on it yet but have my stock stall so I did not think of it to be a big deal and the last question would be is it maybe that the band is to tight I could move it with a pry bar but did not pay much attention to it.

I have no codes, and when I put the new 3/4 in all of the seals looked good when I put it in manual low it will at a stop it will quit wanting to surge forward like I can take my foot off of the break and it does not move what seals would cause a 3/4 cross bleed like I said the 3/4 pistons all looked good and I replaced the Teflon seals on the input shaft

Did you ever find the cause of this?

The two places I would look if you feel the band is what is applied, would be the second servo or the 1-2 accumulator. Vince Bielanski

I have the same problem on my 94 camaro. I used the trans go hd-2 kit as well. When in manual 1st gear it wont really more the car will get to bout 2600-3000rpm but only goes bout 5-10mph.When I give it a little gas while it does that it feels like it bogs down. Car and trans shifts fine when in any other setting and takes off in 1st gear fine but not when its in manual low. Also I have a 3600 vig stall if that has anything to do with it.
