I'm looking for mph and et. If people have done it and not pick up et it is not worth it to me.

On the motor I didn't really pick up anything, but I haven't tried it too many times. But on the bottle it makes a world of difference with that converter being so loose. I think it's going to depend a lot on your combo/ peak horsepower, gears, tire size, cam, etc...

At what speed/rpm do you lock up your converter for best results?

My best results have came from locking my verter in 3rd a little over 100 mph. As far as my rpm, it's at ~6000, but most of my run is at ~6000 or over with that verter on the bottle anyway.

I tried a lockup switch on my pt4400 today. I let it shift inot 3rd and I locked it up at about 6000rpm. My rpms went all the way down to 5,000 rpm. I lost 2mph on that pass. That was the first and last time I tried the lockup switch.

i would lock up the convertor no lower than 6100-6200 otherwise it will BOG hard and loose the mph. i have seen too many guys lock up the convertor too early, esp on nitrous passes, and BAD results occured. i have done it too on motor and had no ET difference. just my .02

The pt4400 already has the posi-lockup clutch, if your engine makes over 475lbs of torque it will lockup

from yank's website

PRO THRUSTER 4000, 4200, 4400, 4600 (245mm, Stall speed 4000 through 4600, Posi Lock-Up Clutch w/Kevlar Linings, lightweight billet cover, 2.2-2.7 STR)

Posi lock-up clutch:

Yank Converters has made a breakthrough with the Posi lock-up clutch. By placing proprietary bearings between the lock-up clutch and the housing, while utilizing the highest grade carbon ceramic or kevlar linings, the converter can actually lock-up under the high torque load of a power adder like nitrous oxide or a blower! This positive lock-up action takes place when the engine torque exceeds 475 lb. ft. This will give the racer torque to the tires, close to that of a manual transmission. This is a Yank exclusive!

I dunno maybe?

Maybe Yank will chime in, I think maybe the older PT series doesn't have it or it is an option?
