Default 4L60 from a 1993, Best customer service when rebuilt..

I emailed a couple folks that sponsor on here. They all have good reps. I am looking at having my 93 Vette auto rebuilt to withstand the 396LT1 I have. It was putting 425 hp 428 tq SAE corrected. This will be the fourth build. On island here, no one can build it right apparently.
Who do yo recommend, and customer service is important as I will have to have it shipped here.
Thanks
ps, 93 are a one year deal on transmissions. Few extra parts and year specific valve body, and its not a 4L60E

I have to agree with this guy here..Honestly I have a non sponsor trans that my shop deals with, and when it broke a tailshaft on the dyno frank at performabuilt helped me out over the phone even though it was not his trans..

He knew the place I got it from and assured me they were reputable and that they would take care of me..He did not dog the other shop or try to sell me something, and still offered to help, but if I do need another trans its coming from this guy

Call FLT...you won't find a stronger, longer lasting transmission.

Go with a sponsor for sure. A built trans is tricky and most local shops do stock type rebuilds. I like the fact that these sponsors know how we drive and what we expect from our cars.

Make sure that you get the right unit no matter who you order it from. The 93 vet uses a five pin case connector. This is a rare setup for a 700r4 and is only used in one year. I would verify that your vehicle has this and make sure to mention it when you order. Vince Bielanski

Sorry to be so challenged here, but how do I check this piece out. Someone said a 92 case will work with a wire splice somewhere. I am finding out through a friend on another forum that the 93 has a unique year only valve body.
Anyways, I need to ensure the transmission is built right, clearances of pieces, correct parts, bushings replaced, etc etc.
I just read a five part build up on another corvette site. He showed pics of everything. Its great to see someone put pride and ownership into a build.
I can guaranty the guys who built mine were doing stock rebuilds and all the parts on the "invoices" were BS.

I think you can use the 92 case if you switch the valve body and wiring over from the 93.

I too have a 93 car and hunted for the correct transmission for my car many times so I know how big of a pain it can be.

Valve body cant be changed to a 92 valve body within the case. You can however get a 92 and older case and rewire the lock up as thats the only difference electronically.
