Vig and Yank are tried and true names in the f body world. I chose Yank bc of the reputation here on this board and I have been extremely pleased. That being said, other sponsers here making billet converters seem to be on top of things as well.

I've run both Yank and Circle D and you can't go wrong with either. I'd suggest you call both, see what they have to offer, and go from there. Both are awesome to deal with!

The best/ most reliable converter is a converter built for your setup and car, no some off the shelf stuff, Give Greg@FTI a call and he will set you up and you will be 100% happy.

Yes, I ran an Edge for about 1 1/2 years and it performed perfectly with no issues. Only reason I sold it to twitchtwice was bc I was looking to move to a more performance oriented set-up since I stopped DD my car.

FWIW I can assure you my PT4400 and my Circle D were anything but "shelf" converters. Both were ordered and numerous questions asked about my setup before the converter was made. I actually had the Circle D changed up a little to make it just right. Neither Yank or Circle D just pull a converter off the shelf and send it to you. The particular series you want is tailored to your setup .

On that note, I wish I had the time and money to put an FTI to the test. I've heard good things about them and now that I've run two of their competitors converters, I'd love to see how they compare.

Vig. & Yank are good ones. And, i'm sure the others on here are good aswell. I had a Vig 3200 and loved it. Not to mention it was an excellent nitrous converter.

I have had a yank and now run a cirle-D both are great but for me would have to say cirle-D . Chris is a great guy to work with and will take the time to answer any questions that you may have his customer service is second to none. I wil say my best 60ft was with the Cirle-D but the yank gave me my best mph 1.3 mph better then the cirle-D has run in my car.

FWIW, I wasnt talking about circle D as I have seen great products come out of their company.

If you decide to try out FTI, you will not be disappointed one bit. They are top notch.

I owned a yank PT4000 and loved it in my cam only car. I've seen great results out of a yank SS4000 in my buddies boltons car as well.

I had Circle D spec me a custom converter and he was very very nice, but I ended up being low on cash and found a slightly used Vigilante 4500 on here for sale. I'll post of results when it's in..
