hey i was wondering how you hook up trans coolers?can you just use a y-fitting like this?

U could just run the 2 coolers without the Y...you would have to Y the 2 together and then Y them coming out... pointless. Just run the line from the trans into one.. then run the out line to the other cooler, and run the out of the cooler back to the trans.

But IMO, just buy a bigger cooler and use only one.

 

ya im not completely sure what i want to do yet b/c the front of my car is really low so i dont know if im going to mount them dope style and i dont know if one cooler in the rear of the car would be enough, thanks for the reply

what is the trans coolers purpose...hint the greater the delta T the better heat transfer there is...

 

Yeah but now you have just doubled the line space.. most likely, now I am not sure but would probably decrease line pressure by doing the Y and then merging the line back together. Instead of having 1 free flowing line you now have two trying to force the larger amount of fluid back into one line.

Just dosnt make sense to me.

 

Parallel is better for lower temps, but run whatever you want...

Just do one B&M super cooler will mount it infront of your radiator.

 

i already have a smaller tube and fin mounted on the radiator so i figure ill mount a bigger one dope style and run both
