will a 4L80E Fit F-body
im converting From a 4L60E (broken) thats stalled with a TCI 3800 Nos plate converter,(witch im going to sell) to a 4L80E. Question is, will it fit in with no issue?

yes the 4l80E will fit into an Fbody, it has been done many times befor. Check the automatic transmission section, also do a search.... youll find out everything you need to know!
I vote for a rmvb th400 with transbrake!!! lol, although you lose OD, i love my th400!

Of course it fits ,very easy swap really. You have to cut ears off the 4l80 and you have to clearance where the big plug in back on driver side goes. And if you don't run 90 degree coolant fittings you have to clearance by the back one as well.
You need 4l80 crossmember, Lokar 36 inch flexible dipstick works good but think stock 4l8 dipstick will work too. I got 4l80 torque converter that works with ls1 flexplate. I got flexplate from speed inc.
You need 4l60 to 4l80 wiring harness and you need to get segment 4l80 if you are using hptuners. Trans mount is same and you have to move torque arm to tunnel mount or on the crossmember type. No torque arm provision on back of 4l80.
Think thats about it. A bit more involved on t56 swap like on my car. Used a t56 to 4l80 harness.Had to get pedals, shifter, auto console top.Had to do a bit of extra wiring for neutral safety and backup but its minor. Still haven't got shift lock solenoid to work yet and want to put in shiftlock cable like factory auto cars have.
But anyway sorry to get off track. 4l80 is pretty easy swap. And even a stock 4l80e is very strong. The do have different ratios for first gear not sure about second.
Its 2.48, 1.48, 1 to 1 forget what overdrive is. 4l60 is like 3.06 first? So this means you knock down your gearing some with the 4l80 in first for sure.
