you get what you pay for when it comes to converters. You buy a cheap converter it's not going to be as efficient then you have to worry about any ind of power at it the converter could balloon out and kill your thrust bearing in your motor

But for people like me who have a Bolt on LT1 I saw no reason to drop 900.00 on a top of the line converter that can handle any amouth of power. I am super happy with my Revmaxx. The car runs great and is fun to drive. I cant imagine that with a couple more bolt ons Like headers, Gears and a tire I could have a 12 second LT1!! I think that converter is efficient enough for what I have plans for..

lol yeah stock a4s can do anywhere from 14.5 to 13.5. Im in the middle with a 14.1. Ive been very interested with revmax latley as well. There is a very heated debate on the other ls forum about them as well.

Honestly, if price was a concern, I would hit up circle D or Yank for one of their budget converters. I'd feel a lot more comfortable running one of those. I guess its personal preference though.

I installed one of these converters in a friends LS1 powered RX7 with a 700r4.

Went from running 7.4's@94 w/1.8x 60's to 6.8's@99 w/1.5 60's in the 1/8th.
Still averages 22mpg on the high way with lockup.

I tried to talk him into a "good" converter. Hes happy with what hes got and after driving the car and carrying the tires past the 60' mark I'm impressed.

With all that being said, I'm getting a yank for my car and a vig for the gf's z28.

I would'nt waste my money and time on a no name hi stall convertor. Yank, Circle d and even Precision industries are all good proven companies.

and the same can be said about Revmaxx. They have a 100 percent customer feedback on Ebay and there online store and they are highly used in the Diesel truck world.. Got my Converter for 230.00 plus 30.00 shipped. So for 260.00 for a brand new 3200 converter is pretty good..

After awhile of working on ur cars or other people's cars you will soon realize it is best to go with known quality parts

Thats like saying I'm glad I didn't buy a quality product. i understand where you are coming from, but don't act like bc your stall hasn't broken yet, that $750 Yanks and Circle Ds are all of the sudden a waste of money. That logic just makes you look dumb.

All you guys keep saying the same thing that you get what you pay for and that they are not quality parts but over and over again there are people who tell you that Revmaxx make good quality parts and at a cheap price. Are they as good as a Yank? Probably not but they are a Quality part non the less. I am very happy with mine and if I had to do it over again would have went with a 3600 range Revmaxx converter.

I guess a Yank Converter has never broken right?

Corvettes are better quality car then a f-body so why not say that crap about f-bodies? I have a Ephiphone Les Paul Guitar and it is not as good quality as a Gibson Les Paul Guitar but they sound alike and my Ephiphone was 2000.00 less then the same Les Paul made by Gibson..

Does it really bother you that much that there is a company that makes quality cheap Converters for 700-800 less then a Yank? Or That there are 550 hp cars out there using a revmaxx converter and they have held up to the punishiment?
