I like my 3600. I drive my car almost everyday. My mods are in sig.
Just make sure you get a good tranny cooler and a gauge would not be bad either. My car really does not like traffic in the FL heat.

I never said it was a cheap converter!! It isn't!! It is just a better converter for half the price of some of the other companies like Yank. How about this. My car full weight 3620lb car with driver, stock bottom end LS1 2002 Z28 camaro went 10.90@123mph with a 1.46 60ft stock suspension (down to the torque arm) PTC 4000 stall on the motor with H/C/I and tuned by Allan Futral and a 4.11 rear gear. I had friends that had the Yank ss4000 converter in there car (pretty much the same engine mods as me) and was only going 11.40-50's He pulled the Yank out of his car and put in a PTC 4000stall and picked up 3 tenths and about 3-4mph. It made that much of a difference in his car. You can do what you want man. It's your money. Ask anyone with a stock bottom end full weight F-body and see what they run. I take my info from the guys that are going fast and know what they are talking about. Hope this helps. Good luck.
And to this guy up top. Just because a shirt cost $100.00 does it mean that it is better than a $50.00 shirt? Or are you just paying for the name?

How is that not apples to apples? A converter is a converter no matter who builds it. Plan and simple the PTC is a better built converter. I would like to see someone do a back to back test between a $950.00 Yank and $475.00 PTC and see which car does better. I would put my money on the PTC because I have seen to many people swapp them out and pull better times at the track. I tell you what. Call Shane over at Thunder Racing and ask hime what he thinks. He sell the Yanks, Vigilanties, and the PTC. Ask him his opinion of which one is better.

Non-billet converters tend to sell for $500, Billet converters sell for about $7-750. Even if everything else in them is virtually the same, that billet CNC'd front cover is the reason for the cost difference. If you really knew anything about converters you would have mentioned this difference. And since when did you think all the board sponsors here have converters sitting on shelves with stall speeds written on the outside of the box ready to ship to anyone who phones in the order. Dude, I dont think you know the slightest about converters, business, or our board sponsors here. I congratulate you on your track times, and there is nothing wrong with recommending PTC. But dont **** on our sponsors here bc you dont know **** about them.

Again OP just consider all the others before you buy one. Performance wise and for customer support PTC is one of the best. I have been running there converter in my car going on 4-years now without an issue. If you ever decide to build your engine up you won't have to buy a new converter for the new engine. All you would have to do is send your converter back to PTC to be re cut at a cost of only $100.00 plus shipping 1 way. They will pay for the return shipping. I've just had to many good things happen with PTC that I am sure the other companies wouldn't have done to use anyone else. I posted a thread about an experience I had with them last week in this thread. You should go read it. Good luck in your quest for performance OP.
