Is it hard to drive a stalled car?
Is it hard to drive a stalled car? I'm about to buy a 2004 corvette z06 that has a torquer 2 112lsa cam, yank ss3200 stall, and 3.73 gears. I've never driven a stalled/cammed car before. Is it very difficult to drive on a daily basis? I currently have a 2002 trans am ws6 with full boltons, and a stock 2006 gto, so I'm not new to muscle cars.

I drive my 4000 stall, 3.73 car all year round without a single issue at all.. It will take a little more to get going than a stock stall, but once you get used to it, youll never notice.
When you get on it though, now thats a different story! Youll most likely wish you had done it sooner!!

It feels like night and day when you stomp the gas though, as stated you are going to wish you had stalled your car a LONG time ago. The only down side is you will notice a small fuel mileage drop on the street, the highway stays teh same because of torque converter lockup. Your first few tanks of fuel you will probably burn through because its so much fun to drive with a bigger torque converter that you wont be able to keep your foot out of it.
Have you taken your car to the track with a stock stall? If so your gonna crap when you feel the differnce.

Me too...I have had my 3200 stall for a year now and if I had it to do over I would put a 4000 in it to start with. Like others are saying, from a dig or a rolling punch your junk will get up and go.
i agree with everyone....i just unstalled a SS3600 this past Sat. haven't even done any tuning or anything yet and i've still got the stock rear w/ 3.23's and the first time i took it out after the install i noticed a difference but by Tues it felt stock....there's a definate difference but you don't notice it unless you're thinking about it....honestly, i could totally see myself DD'ing a 4000 stall with no problems...WOT is definately better but doesn't seem like how everyone else describes, maybe tuning will change that...going to get it to the track after i play with the tune some...

as long as everything is tuned youll be amazed how civil your car will drive. i have a 230 cam with a vig 3200 stall and my car drives like stock. like others have said, i could step up and DD a 4k stall. but no way in hell i see anybody hooking up at a stoplight with a 4k stall..
