Default Yank Install Question

Anybody install a Yank and it was super tight when you tried to spin it to click down in? It's an SS3600 if that matters

Just take the o-ring off and see if it goes on. And be sure to put the o-ring back on.

My guess is the pump bushing, but it's hard to say because you're relaying what your transmission guy told you. It's not good if you need to tell this guy how to do the job and then pay him.

If it were me I would either take a spare input and pump or take the input and pump out of your trans and install each one seperate into the converter. This would tell you exactly where the problem is.

The guy should have pulled the pump and replaced the bushing and seals. Sometimes a new bushing can be tight, and if it's run tight theres a good chance it'll spin in the bore and lead to a front seal leak.

snout diameter at the end is larger than at the base. Is this normal?

No it's not normal.

I would guess the diameter at the base matches your stock one and the diameter at the end is bigger than the stock one?

Depending on how much you played with it you better change the pump bushing.
