Default curious about tuning

Whats up? Im new to this site I have always read the forums but just now got time to register. Anyways, I just recently purchased a TCI SSF3500 converter. I havent recieved it yet but I was curious once I have it installed will I need tuning?

No you shouldnt need tunning. Click on your other post and hit edit then hit delete

I know I've read where people are geeting torque management codes, I dont know alot about tc's. By the way thanks for the info on deleting the other thread.

Most of the problems you see with TQ management are on 01 and 02 cars. Very few 98-2000 cars have issues with it.

The converter is very streetable. You will love it. Make sure you get a tranny cooler. Goodluck

I am looking at the tci ssf 3500 also for my car. I was looking on the tci website and I am wondering if I have to upgrade my camshaft and if not how does the car run.

i had it on a stock cam, worked fine, but need to raise the idle a bit, mine would die with no load on teh engine sometimes. It idled about 500 rpm. With my new cam it drives about like stock till i get on it

No you do not have to upgrade the camshaft at all. The stall is very streetable. Go to the Texas Speed and Performance website i think they have the TCI converter at a good price. BTW there is guys running a 4200 stall on a stock camshaft. Goodluck

I ordered mine from SDPC website. They have an awesome deal right now!!! You need to check it out... You save money if you do it over the internet, I think its like 12% if I recall right.

cam shaft? I got stinking 224/226 .570./.571 112lsa. See my sig.

Do you want a car thats going annihilate the 555R's at 30mph or less? It's not terribly fun if the asr is off lol. You're like oh sheeeez as you try to steer the car back to reality..

lol.
