Default Help... Problems with 4l60e to 4l80e swap P0758 and P0753

P0753 1-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
P0758 2-3 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

The car is not shifting out of 2nd gear it is stay in limp mode, and is only throwing those two codes currently with the adapter harness in. I sent the harness back to have it checked harness was good, and made sure both VSS sensors were wired correctly and in correct spots. Anyone have any ideas on where to go next?

I had this problem after doing a verter/heads/cam swap.

This was MY problem. but I didn't have a 80E in mine.

Check the tune and be certain Min KPA is set at 0 and Max KPA is set at 100.

I was reassured that the tune was good. So almost positive that is ok it is running the 4l80e segment swap, but will try to double check it sometime this weekend if I can get my hands on hptuners.

I was "assurred" as well. Just piece of mind.

Good luck.

Ironic that I saw this thread, a buddy of mine just finished my M6-4L80E swap and yesterday was the first day we started it up. EXACT same issue(s) you are having. Those 2 codes are for shift solenoids and you're right it's starting in 2nd gear and will not shift out of it, up or down.

I have been told it's (probably) something to do w/ the 4L80E harness and how it's pinned somewhere. We are currently looking into the issue, and as soon as we find something out I can let you know, or if you find out please share!

edit *Sorry, I didn't notice you had the code descriptions posted!*

I'm going to try activating the solenoids and check the ohms across the line to see if there is a possible short. I think that my problem is the wiring inside the transmission that might have gotten damaged in shipping... but we will see.

Well it was the shift solenoids changed them out and the transmission is working great.
