Default Can someone help identify this converter

I bought this converter off craigslist http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/pts/1928359263.html

Works great except it doesnt like to lock up but I think that is because I need a new tune? Anyways its supposed to be a yank but I dont think it is.. The only number I could find on it is 68832 and 330

Thats not a yank, the seller sure made out on that sale.
Thats one of those 4 or 6 cylinder cores with nothing for a clutch to begin with.

Well if it were me i wouldn't want to wait for the converter to break or mess up, you could ruin your transmission. You could send your circle d back and have Chris restall it.

You got played, that sucks. I like how it's a 4000-5000 stall.

So there is no chance its a quality converter?

It's built just like a fuddle, or TCI and some others. If you like the way it drives it should hold up ok. As for the clutch you're going to need to get it cut opened and replaced, then have it tuned to not lock up under any kind of load. Those small clutches can't hold under load.

If you believe it's not that old and the clutch is still good you could have it tuned for maximum TCC pressure, get rid of PWM, and adjust lock up mph.

If you run it for a while, drop the pan and break the filter open so you can see if much debris came out of the converter (at risk of it running through the trans in the mean time).

yea I did, I asked him why it wasn't red like the yanks I have seen and he said he ordered it black. It's my fault... I just drove a long ways and knew for sure it was a 10inch so I figured I'd give it a shot
Btw I didn't pay 500 for it
