Default weird problem...any suggestions?

I have an 02 z28 and i have noticed that when i drop the car down into 3rd at a cruising speed the transmission kind of shudders unless i'm at WOT. 2nd gear is fine and i have no problems it seems to just be 3rd. any suggestions as to what is causing this?

The only thing different is you have overun now if you have a cam you may get somewhat of a shudder trailer type feel

The TCC is locked in 3rd, and is unlocked at WOT and also in 2nd)... so yes it can be that.

Are you sure its the trans/TCC and not the engine misfiring...?

TCC reg in the pump or converter. A shudder is a shudder, which usually means converter or something that has to do with the converter, electrical or mechanical.

How many miles have you put on it? My Fuddle would shudder when it went into lock-up at around 40-45 mph. I had a new tune put into the car with the lockup adjusted to 50mph in third gear. Anything sooner and it would shudder a little during lockup. Is the computer throwing any codes?

i'm not the original owner so i'm going with the odometer, 144k.
i ran the codes a while back when i was having a few problems(ended up needing new 02 sensors) and nothing ever came up relating to the transmission. The car has yet to get tuned also so if it's a tuning thing i could probably get it adjusted then also
