The stuff being posted lately on the SS converters makes them sound pretty nice. I've not rode or driven a car with a SS series converter in it, but they are more streetable than the PT from what people say. I would really to try one in my car.
Reason why I am getting it is because it is efficient, tight, and kicks ***
in case you didn't notice either, Tbyrne is having a GP on Yank products, the pricing is crazy so you should look into it. I didn't plan on getting it this early, but the price is too good to pass up
Both companies have great customer service and they stand behind their products.

You are absolutely right about that statement. We have been through 2 vigi converters, 2 tcs converters and now we have a Yank PT4400, We are going for the best track performance and definately found it with the Yank PT series. But like you said spend a little extra now so you wont have to do it again, and end up spending quite a bit more.

However it has been my (and others) experience that when the day comes you need Yank customer support you will either get no answer, a answer machine (with no call back), or a busy. And if you attempt to make a warranty claim most likely you will be told that the “warranty” does not cover your problem and you will be charged for the repairs.
With the other two companies someone will always answer the phone and more than likely you will have no problems with the warranty being honored.

If your looking for warranties or off the shelf performance, go with one of the big companies. They both offer decent converters for the money.
If your looking for the best converters in the LS1 market right now. Go with a Yank and expect that Mike will do everything that one man can to take care of you.
I am very happy that you are please with every aspect of your Yank experience. More power to you!
Jpr5690 – Good luck in deciding which converter is best for you. Keep in mind that you deserve to get what you pay for.
The Colonel used a TCI3500 for a while with very impressive results. Do a search in the Trans and Drag Racing sections. I would go with the TCI3500.
