Default Powerglide knowledge needed!!!

Having a hard time finding the answers to a lot of my questions. Let me start by saying I AM going to a powerglide for my turbo setup. So please dont preach about why im doing it, or that you have a TH400 that would be perfect for me.

---Car is a 2000 trans am with a 12 bolt. LQ9 motor---

What kind/size transmission mount can i use, and where to get it?

What size driveshaft to use? Or proper length if needed to be made custom.

Does the 1.80 have that much of a difference between the 1.76? Any other info on those would be helpful.

Info about the flexplate, and converter bolting to the LS motors.

Any other info about this conversion would be very useful.

1.76 is a stock gear set(helical), 1.80 is an after market straight cut, the 1.80 would be stronger.

You might mean difference between 1.76 and 1.82, if that is what you were tryin to ask, then the 1.76 is way stronger hands down.

What rims are on the car in you sig pic?

Right on Greg. I will give you guys a call after lunch.

Found out i will need to have my driveshaft lengthened. And that the aftermarket TH350 mounts will work for a glide.

You can get the flexplate setup for a 4L80E and get the converter made to standard SBC specs (easier to sell it later as it won't be LSx specific).

Buy the TCI flywheel, It comes with every thing you need, if you buy the tci flywheel, you can either get a converter built with longer pilot or use the pilot adapter that comes with the kit. This will leave your converter options a little more open. Run the biggest pan and biggest trans cooler you can buy. Power Glides use half as much fluid as any other trans, It will get hot fast. If you are going to spend the coin to do this swap there are several companies out there that offer a tail housing with the VSS sender option. Lokar makes a nice filler/dipstick tube that has a nut on it so it cant come out of the case.

The 1.80 set is considerably louder than the 1.76.

What is the 1.76 ratio good for horsepower wise? Ive seen that most trany builders that put in the 1.80 claim its good to 1500+ horse. I just dont want to be rebuilding it season after season like my 4l60.

I know a guy selling a BTE powerglide 1.76 with a 10" 5000 stall race converter also from BTE. They both have been sitting for 2 years so he said 500 bucks and their yours. I will have to send both to BTE for a check, and to get the stall lowerer though. I was just curious about if a 1.76 would hold up to alot of power.
