ur engine should be tilted downwards cuz it has nothing holding the back up. So you need to tilt ur transmission belhousing upwards. And make sure u have the converter all the way in.

yeah i noticed that it does tilt down a bit...i'm pretty positive that the vert is sitting in all the way..i guess i'll tilt it upward...

follow this for your spacing. just make sure the converter is seated the whole way before you bolt the trans up or you run the risk of breaking the pump.

hard to tell cuz the pic is at an angle, but it loooks like it needs to go in more. Don't baby it. Spin it and jurk it around tell you feel it go in there. It looks like it still needs to go in a bit

If your hands are skinny enough, you could fit acouple fingers between the TC and trans and feel if its butted up against the seal. It also took me alittle while to line up the trans and engine, once you get the alignment pegs close to the guide holes on the bellhousing, look through the bellhousing window and make sure the TC is lining up with the back of the crankshaft.

I finnaly got around to sending my car to the transmisson shop so they can install the torque converter and now there saying that the pump on the transmisson is bad...I was wondering if you guys had any pictures of bad transmission pump or if you can explain to me how you would know if the transmission pump is bad. I'm gonna take a look at it later today and snap a few pics...and post what he saying.
