Get a ruler. Measure from the end of the belhousing to one of the converter mounting pads. Should be 1.125". That is about an inch and an 1/8.

Ok thanks, but does that insure that the stall is in properly. I thought you were suppose to hear any clinks to know if its sitting in there properly...when i put it in and spun it i tried to listen to the clinks or clunks but i got nothing..

You might not be able to actually hear the clicks. You will feel it slid in a little bit 3 different times. As long as you get a little over an inch from the end of the belhousing to ur converter mounting pad you are set to go

Thanks for the reassurance i did feel it slide in 3 diffrent times..i need to double check the measurements from the mounting pads to the bellhousing...now when i check am i measuring from the direction of the flywheel? or is a diffrent direction?

Ok so the transmissoon is bolted up. Have you looked to see how much room there is between the converter and the flywheel yet?

really with it bolted up ur not going to be able to measure it now. You need to get some drill bits or something and measure the space between ur torque converter mounting pads and ur flywheel. If it is more than 3/16 than you need to put a machined washer inbetween ur converter and flywheel. I have a circle d and I did have to shim my with 1 washer. If you have to much space and you don't shim it you are going to ruin the pump in ur trans and do alot of damage

10.After the transmission bellhousing bolts are tightened, check to see if the torque converter will turn by hand. Push the torque converter back into the transmission as far as it will go. Using feeler gauges or calipers measure the gap between the flexplate converter mounting pad and the torque converter mounting pad. If gap distance is between .060" and .187" it is OK to bolt up the torque converter. If the gap is greater than .187" install a .060" flat washer between the torque converter and flexplate.

Just make sure you don't have to much space between the converter and flywheel before you bolt it up. That is the main thing
