Help me determine my gears (they're not stock)
I'm doing about 2500RPM's at 75MPH. According to the gear calculator that would make it a 3.73. My speedometer seems to be correct.
The door code is GU5 (3.23). The A4 transmission was recently rebuilt, what are the odds that the gears were changed in the transmission?
My rear end housing is bent so i'm trying to find a used one. I need to be sure which gears i have so i can try and get the same one so i don't have to have my PCM reflashed for the gear change.

Very slim chance about tranny gears, those bitches are very expensive and I dont think 4th is changed with that planetary set-up anyway. With 3.23s you should be sitting dead nuts on 2k at 68 mph. With 3.73s you will be about 2400 at 70mph. I have had both.

Real simple, jack the rear end up. Spin the tire and see how many times the drive shaft spins with one rotation of the tire. That is the most accurate way to find out. 3 1/4 spins is 3.23.....3 1/2 spins 3.42...etc....
