Most TH400s are a 6 bolt pump. Only the early ones came with the 8 bolt setup.

We use a mill to face the case for the Ultrabell.

Will this bolt up to a 6 bolt pump. Or do you have to have a 8 bolt pump?

it bolts up just fine to the 6 bolts and jw says they've seen over 2000HP hold up just fine with the 6 bolts only. good enough for me at 1/2 that eventually!

btw i did not get the lsx one as i came across a deal on a new/used (never installed) standard sb/bbc to th400 bell and save some cash so i won't have any input on the lsx specific bell.

you can see the machined out area on the top to clear some years of LS blocks.

I've never seen anyone running a shield and I dont plan on using one. most th400 swapped cars dont street drive much if any. no reason anything would get up inside there.
How you paid for it? You have a part number for it? Thanks

I paid around $300 from JW direct. We used the trans shops discount and shipped it right to the shop. When I'm off work I can look at the part number
