Default 4l60e Shifting issues

First off I have done some research and believe that I need to replace the A and B shift solenoids, but I never found anyone that is having the exact issue in any of the previous posts.

I recently had my engine built and the car sat for about 3 months before I had it built. While the engine shop was doing the work I had them replace the transmission fluid and filter. About a week or so after I got the car back it stopped shifting to first when I would come to a complete stop. Anytime I leave it Drive it feels as if its taking off in 3rd or 4th. If I manually put it down into 1st it feels like it takes off in second, then I shift it to 3rd or Drive and it drives fine. If I stand on the gas while in fourth it will downshift. Should replacing the A and B solenoids resolve my issue. Thanks for any help with this issue.

Oh and its a 1998 Trans AM......

I will, I'm hoping to have time to do the solenoids today.

Well I did the pain in the a$$ job of replacing both the A and B shift silenoids and that did not slove my issue. It was pretty easy to do, but just a mess. Still starts off in 4th if I put it in drive and feels like it starts off in 2nd if I put it into 1st. Feels like it never goes down into first at all. Still shifts good and hard from 3rd to 4th and same for second to 3rd, but I have to manually go to third from second. If anyone has any ideas please help me out.

Is the fluid at the correct level? After driving the car and getting the fluid up to temperature where does it read on the stick? Also was the computer tuned for the new engine combo and stall?

Yup, fluid level is good and the car was tuned correctly. It drove fine for the first 250 miles after the build. My builder / tuner has a great reputation and tons of experience so I am not suspecting that it was the tune. I am hoping its an electrical issue and nothing mechanical with the tranny. I guess I am going to have to take it to my shop.
