Cool man it will be nice to know what you find. If you are in the Dallas area I have a scanner with adapters for OBDI GM vehicles etc.. It does datastream etc, not just a code reader.

Ok update time, i bought a solenoid kit and replaced all solenoid sensors and the wiring harness... the drive home from work went real smooth shift smooth and excellent. And then i tested it out... this was the third time i smashed the gas from 3rd gear it down shifted to 2nd and went just like brand new.... and then my rpms dropped to nothing oil pressure dropped and car completely stalled out. Any ideas??? This is the second time this has happened... and im getting frustrated... thanks for any help guys...

LOL. Sorry it's funny to me. Did you say you have an ls1 or lt1? If LS1 I take back my LOL and if it's lt1 you need to replace your OPTISPARK and problem solved.

Ahhh I see you have an lt1. I will put $100 on it that it's your optispark going bad. Your car will die for no reason. Been there done that a cuple years ago with my 93 z28 (lt1). A couple months after owning mine it would die randomely when acclerating. No reason to check other stuff. 99.99% of the time it is the opti. You need to buy a OEM/Gm opti or msd. They sell alot of cheap junk on ebay that you don't want. thepartsladi sells good opti's also. I replaced my opti 3 times while owning my lt1.

Yes your distributor crapped out like I told you above. Like I said 99.99% of the time it is the optispark distrib. Go buy a new one and quit messing with it. I've been through it so much I know what I'm talking about. If your car is dieing randomely like that it is the opti. Usually it will die and than take awhile to start back up. Good sign of opti failure. Although if you car is dieing in any case it pretty much means your opti is failing. Get a new one and get back to us on how good it runs afterwords

Update, car is in shop starting up fine running fine, common optispark problems, gm dealership around here said $690 for complete distributor... is that not overpriced?
