That's wishful thinking. Get past the price and satisfy
yourself about the guts and the company's product
history, down to cases. Because "what you pay for"
can as easily be marketing and management, as steel
or skill.

As one old VP of mine used to say (when customers
weren't around) "Cost and price are unrelated".

I mean, I could go buy TCI converters, paint them yellow,
double the price and sell them - would that improve the
quality any?

I think his point was that in most cases it's true, and it is.

You know as well as I do TCI doesn't compare in quality to Yank, neither do they compare in price... So that would be a good enough example of how that get what you pay for scenario works out eh?

(I understood your point, and your previous VP's by the way)

OP.... any word on diagnoses?

LOLOLOL This made me laugh.

This is NOT intended to bash or cut down revmax in ANY way, maybe even the oppisite...

You Yank swingers get your panties in a bunch when us PTC swingers say something about PTC equaling/being better than Yank... And then someone starts a thread Rev VS Yank.

Just struck me as funny is all.

So was your point to swing on PTC cause I am not connecting any relevance in your post to this thread.

No... I had no intention to swing on PTC or any other company... At the same time I had no intention of bashing any other company.

I just struck me funny is all. I'm sure Steve gets what I'm saying.

PTC is one of the best converter companies out there, in mine and many others opinion on different forums better than Yank. But god forbid someone tries to say that one here, people come out of the wood work to prove you wrong.
But yet, a Revmax VS Yank thread is created.... I'm sure you have seen some of the old Revmax threads in the past and how they went. Revmax is now a sponsor, this thread actually has people supporting them now (I'm not saying people shouldn't). Revmax use to get bashed left and right... PTC gets bashed when compared to Yank. Revmax becomes sponsor and they all of a sudden have tons of support. PTC still blows *****.
Just something that caught my attention. I wish PTC would become a sponsor. The amount of followers they would gain is stupid.

Put 2 and 2 together and you can see why I found it amusing.
EDIT: I went ahead and put it together for you.

I think this topic needs to be locked... It is going nowhere and has gone off the tracks... Yank is a quality converter builder as is PTC, as is Circle D, and too are we!!
Luckily, Members of this forum have the luxury of having several reputable, high quality companies to choose from!! In the end it just comes down to preference pure and simple!! It is like saying which is best; vanilla or chocolate!!

I knew what I said would be taken a way I didn't mean it, it had to one way or another... But just to clarify I meant NOTHING positive or negative about any company I spoke of. Just pointing something that stuck out to me is all.

Unfortunately it was inevitable but beyond all that let us know what you find out. And for the record I'm also considering a Revmax, have heard a lot of good things.

So far, I can't enjoy my Yank SS4000 enough! Unfortunatly the posi in the 10 bolt failed to agree. Can't wait for the 9" to take it and ask for more!
