Let us know how you like it once you get it installed. I want to set my A4 up for rolls too since I don't go to the track and I'm mostly highway driving and like having a bit of fun now and then. I'm actually happy with how it is stock... 3.23 gears, stock TC but I know it can be so much better.

A good converter is advantageous in all conditions. Another reason is that a typical 9.5" converter is almost 20 lbs. lighter than the stock behemoth. The higher stall speed keeps your motor in the meat of the torque band and it's fighting less inertia as well.
