High Stall TC
ok ive done this before lol but the most id get is liek 4 views...and then it woudl just stop..
looking for a higher stall TC...HIGHHHHHHLY streetable...similar to stock top end...and one thatll give me some baaaaaaaaaaaad a** launches....i do alot of driving under 35 also...lousy suburbs! and would like to keep similar fuel efficiency...thanks all

The TCI Super Street Fighter (SSF) 3500 and the Precision Industries Vigilante 3200 are both great converters that will give you a neck snapping off the line acceleration while still maintaining good street manors and gas mileage.
I am currently running the Vig3200 and city driving is no problem at all. At the track the car regularly pulls 1.59-1.62 60s with a tire in the air.
There are other converters out there but for performance, drivability, dependability, and customer support you can mot go wrong with either of these two converter manufactures.
TCI is a sponsor and there are sponsors that sell the both the SSF 3500 and the PI Vig. 3200.

prob 1-2 mph maybe, the yanks i think are 95% and the vig are 92%efficent, i think, it is on yank's web site under comparrisons, and i think there is another one on there that tells you which one you should get with the mods you have but id prob go 1 or 2 higher than what it says

You need to ask at what RPM the Yank sees 95% efficiency. More than likely it is at 6500 or higher. You can be sure that the PT series converter will not see 95% efficiency at 5500RPM with 3.23 gears. However the SS3600 might see 90% efficiency.

I just installed a TCI 3800 stall and its a great converter, really easy to get used to and really puts the snap into the car as well. Cant what to get it to the track and hopefully not break anything>>>>

Just don't do under a 3500. OR with Vig the 3200. Just a waste of money otherwise. Check out the SS and PT series. They are bad a$$. I prefer the PT myself, but you will need tire for it.

Below are the bests from each converter. There were no other changes except for a new transmission on the Vig 3200 run. The DA on both days was –850 to –950. Race weight was around 3450.
Yank 60=1.51, ET=11.18, Trap=120.25
Vig3200 60=1.55, ET=11.34, Trap=118.xx
There are many reasons for the difference.
1) Shift extension on the 3200 was 4800rpm. On the PT4xx the RPM never dropped below ~6000. My combo makes its best power between 5500-6500 RPM. Needless to say with the vig3200 I did not spend much time in my power band.
2) As a result of the slippage of the PT4xxx my motor was putting down more HP over the ¼ than it was with the Vig3200. Average RPM through the ¼ with the PT4xxx was 6135 and 5140 for the Vig3200.
For example if my motor puts down 390hp at 6135rpm and 320hp at 5140.My average HP to the ground for the ¼ would be 6135*.78 (efficiency)=304hp for the PT4xxx and 320*.89=285hp for the Vig3200.
That is why I went faster with a less efficient converter. The looseness of the converter allowed my motor to trun more RPM and thereby make more HP.
Now if you ran the Vig3200 with 4.11 gears against a PT4xxx converter with 3.23 gears I would put my money on the Vig with 4.11 gears because my motor would be turning the RPMs to make its best HP AND the converter would be more efficient which would result in more HP to the ground.
