Default Stock stall + 100 shot. Problem?

I've been thinking of adding a 100 wet shot to my car. It's a 2000 z28 A4.

Will the stock converter be able to handle it for a while or will it be damaged after a few shots? I don't have the cash for a new stall yet, but it's on the list.

What say you guys?

I shot 175 on a stock 700r4 converter for years. I don't know if the 4L60 converters are the same though. I would do it, that's not very much nitrous IMO.

You should be good as long as you do it right. ie window switch and a good tune.

Converter will be fine.. Get the necessary extras with the kit to make spraying safe however.

PTC (Alabama) sells a very nice converter for 500$ shipped, with a trans cooler. Converter swap is fairly easy as well.

If you can't afford a $500 converter, you probably shouldn't be spraying N20. Sorry, had to.....

Yea, I've done clutches and converters in my drive way. What necessary extras do you mean?

I'm going to get a Yank SS, $750. I never said I can't afford it, I just said I can't get it at the moment. Thanks for that nugget of wisdom though.

Maybe I'll do the stall and gears first then spray a little later.

I recommend a mini progressive, it controls damn near everything... Proper heating/gauges/purge/etc... Just everything you need to make it a nice/safe kit.
Don't go out and buy some used 300$ kit that has a 4 year old bottle and noids with it.... That is where the horror stories come in.

Ah ok, gotcha. Thanks man.

I was looking at controllers and stuff to go with it, I just wasn't sure what you meant.

"Yet" was the key word because I'm looking for n2o at the moment. I just don't want to drop that kind of cash all at once.

When I do my stall, I want to put in a 3.73, a shift kit and a tune, I just didn't feel that all of that info was relevant to what I was asking. ffs I don't have to explain my financial situation to anyone just because I want a n2o kit.

Anyways, thanks for your opinion.

Just easy to misunderstand by the way it was worded. I'm sure the stocker will be fine with the 100 shot.
