Default Jake's Performance, New bigger shop!

I'm excited to announce that Jake's Performance is moving to an 11,000 sq/ft facility and continues to grow.

I made the decision a couple of months ago that we needed a larger shop. We found it and have already started the move.

Our current shop was getting cramped for space with the additional equipment, employees, and inventory. So now we have lots of space.

I've also invested in more shop equipment to help fill that space. More lifts, work benches, tool boxes, shelving, bins, machine equipment, etc.

I've added a full time receptionist/bookkeeper as well as moved one builder from part time to full time.

One of my major goals is to reduce the time from order to delivery and possibly even stock some of our more popular builds. We haven't been able to achieve what I want without making the move to a larger shop.

We're extremely busy moving and continuing to build and ship transmissions and parts, so please be patient if you call or email over the next couple of weeks.

That said I want to remind everyone that we have added 4L60E's to our builds, and we are still building the killer 4L80Es, TH400s, Powerglides, and 200-4Rs that we are known for.

We also sell kits for all these units for the DIY guys.

We will also be adding some "off brand" stuff to our available units.

We should have a totally revamped website up soon with some cart options.

I'll post up some pics of the new shop as it progresses over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the continued support!

It is about 6 miles from our current shop. It is in Sanger, TX, about 1/4 mile from I-35. So we're less than an hour away from almost everybody in the DFW metroplex.

We'll have 5 lifts total for now once we get them all installed, so we'll be better able to handle trans and converter installs/conversions.

More room to store cores and built units, a seperate shipping area, etc.

Once we get it up and running about Aug 1st, everyone is welcome to come check it out. For now both facilities are a mess.

We plan to do a "Grand Opening" type thing for the new facility, probably the 2nd Saturday in September. Free food, hopefully a car show, etc.

But for now, here is a glimpse of the work in progress.

I planned on coming by Friday and buying some parts for my 80 build. I assume that I need to go by the "old" shop? Or should I order the stuff online?

Yes,
Come by the "old" shop for now, we haven't moved yet, we're still getting the new shop setup.

We're moved into the new shop now, for the most part. Still have some equipment to come (3 more lifts etc...) but good enough to work in it now. Definitely a big improvement

We're in the new shop other than some of the machining equipment still at the old shop (which is OK, because I can concentrate when I machine parts now and not have to answer phone calls or help my guys )

Just give us a call anytime. We've been in catch up mode from the lost productivity of making the move, but we've made super progress this week and we're looking good to have a great week next week towards getting our lead times down.

The new numbers are
877-433-5099
or local
940-488-1018 or 488-1031
