Default TCI any good?

I know they make some real good LS1 converters, but how about LT1 converters? I don't know if I can afford a Vigilante

Thanks guys...

Any bad experiences with them??

How do they compare to vigilantes?

How much are you guys paying for them, and where are you getting them from?

Thanks again,
Matt

I think I'm going to order a 3000 or 3200 with a B&M tranny cooler and a TransGo shift kit. A guy I know can install everything for $350....think I should do it? I heard installing the shift kit is a pain in the ****...

Do not order anything less than a 3500 you will regret not going with a higher stall . This is not much difference froma 3000 to 3200 go higher, do a search you will see most of us statered low and then always went higher.

The TCISSF 3500 absolutely made a world of difference in the way the car behaves under acceleration. NO downside other than mileage in my opinion.

Kevin Winstead has been great in my dealings with him.

At this point I'd buy TCI again.

Explain how it is all lies that they are the only converters of the popular ones that don't use the stock M10x1.5 threads for mounting their converters and that you have to drill the mounting holes in yout flywheel. For years, TCI was, and still is a major player in the old school converter market when GM cars used SAE fasteners. They came to the LS1 converter market late and I feel their product should match the metric fasteners used on these cars.
