I found a good deal on this 08 5.3 / 4l60e tranny with 40k miles. I am doing a ls Swap into my 69 camaro. I have several truck harnesses from 99, 02, 04 with dbw & dbc. I.also have a 99 ls1/a4 harness. Will any of these harnesses work with this tranny? If not up to what years would work or what wont work?

All those harnesses should work with the 08 it just has the extra pins for ISS. The later 09 ones are different internally and missing some things over the earlier ones.

Not doubting you but is it 08 or 09 where there is a difference? He says it has a trans controller. How or where is this info found about anything on the change over years on trannys? Also is this tranny a 4l60e or 65 or 70?

I thought its 09. Then they removed one of the 3-2 shift solenoid solenoids. You can tell easy enough by looking at the pins in the plug.

It should be a 60e M30. The 70e was used with the 6.0L in the 1500 trucks.
