Transmission Inlet Fitting size?

They are 1/4" STRAIGHT fittings, not tapered. The normal AN-Pipe adapters are tapered and could potentially crack the case. I don't think the right adapters are sold by Summit; you can buy them from various ebay sellers - search for "4l60E AN fittings" and you will see pairs for $18.
In reality I and many others have used 1/4" NPT tapered fittings without problems or leaks, but be careful not to overtighten them. Still the straight fitting with washer are correct and best.
Also, very late model 4L60E (e.g. 2010) have a different thread again - in these an AN-6 male to male with O-ring works perfectly.
I use AN braided hoses and one 90 degree and one 45 degree fitting work best.
