Default Transmission Inlet Fitting size?

Can anyone tell me off hand what size inlet fittings the 4l60e uses? I tried a search and can't come up with anything. Placing a big order on Summit and those are the last things I need to submit my order. Also off the inlet fittings should I use a 45 degree hose end (using all -6 lines) or 90 degree or straight? Just briefly looking up there under the car it doesn't look like there's a whole lot of room? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

See this thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...-fittings.html

They are 1/4" STRAIGHT fittings, not tapered. The normal AN-Pipe adapters are tapered and could potentially crack the case. I don't think the right adapters are sold by Summit; you can buy them from various ebay sellers - search for "4l60E AN fittings" and you will see pairs for $18.

In reality I and many others have used 1/4" NPT tapered fittings without problems or leaks, but be careful not to overtighten them. Still the straight fitting with washer are correct and best.
Also, very late model 4L60E (e.g. 2010) have a different thread again - in these an AN-6 male to male with O-ring works perfectly.

I use AN braided hoses and one 90 degree and one 45 degree fitting work best.

Thanks for the reply. I actually ran into that issue with my TH400 in my other Camaro. It was one of the TH400 cases with the straight thread inlets. Couldn't figure out why it kept leaking no matter how I tightened them or how much Teflon and sealer I used. Bought a set of straight cut to -6 AN fittings from jegs, put them in, and bam no more issues. Thanks!

Its 1/4 npt. that will work not 1/8 npt. You would need lots of teflon tape to make the 1/8" ones work
