autotapped my run up at island tonight...i stalled the car to 1450rpms and then hit it and the tranny upshifted strait to 3rd and was in 4th at wot by 28mph according to autotap any clue as to why? It seems like the trannys been having a hard time deciding which gear to go to since i put in the cam/heads...ive had all missfire codes deleted i believe so im really not sure what to think...the car was only dyno tuned w/ no street tune...my tuners gonna make it right but I'd like to have a heads up if anyone knows whats up with it.

Those 2.73s along with the heads and that meaty cam just might not be too happy together under race conditions...and I really hope your tranny isn't starting to do a little dance as well, not likely though.

 

yah im really not sure marc...under regular driving i can get it to downshift from 4th to second and it runs like a raped ape..and yesterday from a slow roll i ran it through 1st & second just fine but then i go to the track and it just starts out in third? Like i said im not sure if its a tuning thing or not...all i know is before the heads/cam it didnt do anything like this hehe.

 

are you throwing a TPS code? scan the car for that or MAP/MAF codes

 

I had been throwing a tps code...my tuner said i might need a new one...im not sure if he deleted teh code completely or not...i checked dtc's and nothing.

 

I had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago and burnt the 3rd gear clutches 2 days after 3rd rebuild but I dont know what causes it.

 

hmmm thats not a good sign...well i changed out the tps sensor but that didnt help...so rdta did u get it fixed or was it just a tranny issue?

I have 373's, but that was when the problem started. Just got the tranny redone yesterday and replaced my tcs4200 with a pt4000 so far so good but I havent been to the track yet. Now that I think about it the first time it broke it wouldnt go to 1st from a stop or anything. You may can clean the valvebody out and hope and pray it will fix it. goodluck

 

when the tps code is set it has some kidna limp mode it seems. try deleting all the "performance" map, maf, tps codes

 

after i replaced the tps it didnt do much can i just reset the computer or do i need to actually delete codes?
