Can you program a 4l80e for full manual control?

Can you program a 4l80e for full manual control? I know they sell boxes to control the 4l80 manually. But mine is already computer controlled. Im just looking to be able to force my shifts manually and launch in 2nd at the track. while still having lockup functionality as well as speedometer function.

Only way to get full electronic manual control is to use an external cintroller
I personally like the Powertrain control solutions Tcm-2000.
It has a speedo output and you can flip a switch to be in full manual or full auto mode... plus the ability to switch between 2 different shift strategies with another switch. (one for the track and one for the street)

You may need to tune rpm tables as well. That will force it to work off the shifter.

If you set it up that way in the tune, and also you can just zero out the 1-2 shift tables to cause it to launch in 2nd and then shift normally otherwise.
Lots of different methods to get there.
