4L60e suddenly starts slipping on second gear

4L60e suddenly starts slipping on second gear
Suddenly one day when out cruising with some throttle use, the second gear starts to slip.
First hardly I could feel it. Then after like 15 minutes the slipping was so much that the car was not pushed forward on second gear. 1, 3 and 4 works as before.
The car is a Camaro 1999 with a 4L60e. Like 60 000 miles on the car with calm street driving. It is a LS3 in front of the 4L60e.
-Is it a rebuild needed or is there anything else that can solve this issue?

This sounds like a worn band; usually but not always, 2nd starts to slip before 4th.
Sometimes you can get another 5000 - 10,000 miles out of the trans before it absolutely needs a rebuild by lengthening the servo pin. Here are some threads on the subject and feedback that it worked:
