Exclamation 210* trans temp with cooler

Drove 5 miles to work. Stop and go traffic and my temp gauge is reading a hair under 210 (I do have it in the test port so I know its 10-15* higher).

Have a circle d 3600 stall and a cooler from jegs.. This cooler to be exact .

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...rsistYmm=false

Any ideas?

IMO that cooler is absolutely worthless.
Did you bypass the stock cooler in the radiator?
Where is that cooler mounted?

I would go with something like the b&m 70266 stacker style cooler and you absolutely will see your temps drop.

That cooler you have is WAY to small and a VERY poor design imo

I have it mounted "dope" style. I did not bypass the stock cooler lines.

Get this and be done with it. I use one with a 400 and 9.5 inch converter in a heavy car with tall gears.....still cool.

It's a derale cooler and it WORKS.

^^^This exactly^^^
We live in FL man, why let the hot rad preheat the tranny fluid. I run the B&M, radiator bypassed, and mounted it in front of the driver side fan. Runs 150-170*

Ya, that is just not going to cool anything mounted like that with that style/size cooler.

Get a plate/stacker style cooler and mount in front of radiator or mount dope style but go with what Game Ova posted.

In either situation bypass the radiator cooler.

210 is not to high particularly running through the radiator which actually preheats to around 195 degrees , In your location as mentioned a large stand alone cooler with a fan would be a much better overall choice,

Skip the radiator. It's completely unnecessary, with an unlocked converter you won't have any issues making enough heat to get the fluid warm.

Bypass the radiator completely. Get the largest cooler that you can find and put it in front of the radiator.
