Default Slow shift at wot 2-3

Went to the track and it's seems like it's holding 2nd to long and then shifts right before the lights. This there a way to get a harder shift, do u have to get it tuner or is there a handheld?

Sorry there really isn't enough info to go on.
You need to tell us what engine, car, converter, rear ratio you are running.
What length track, what speed at the lights, etc, etc.

Like mrvedit said, more info.

But my guess is you have a stock converter with 2.73 gears.

Stock converter, stock shift points, 4l60e, 26" tire = 2nd gear running out to about 98 mph

Sounds like a bit of tuning could do wonders

slow shift or was it banging the limiter before shifting ?

did you have it in OD, 3rd gear , or manually shifting it ?

4l60 likes to be overfilled a bit on fluid and will typically shift better on the 2-3 shift if left in OD

It is due to the amount of torque management in these cars.
Get a tune and they can bump up line pressure a bit and pull some torque management out.

A tune does wonders for the tranny.

I ran 13.8 bone stock.

Lt headers, tune and tires 13.2
