4l60e/nitrous/window switch tuning....
After trying to explain it's not always as simple as it seems about a thousand times on FB I'm here now....I'm trying to turn the nitrous off in plenty of time for my gear change to keep the transmission healthy and make sure I don't have any rev limiter issues due to the rpms climbing too fast. Is there anyone who is turning their nitrous off just because the gear change and if so how many rpms early has been the most effective? I know on paper 100 rpms SHOULD work but I'm looking for someone who is doing it! I know this may be in the wrong section. Maybe!?

Window switch alone is is hard to get right. With a window switch and a progressive/delay option is way easier to ensure your not spraying through the shift. Get the top of the window switch even with or just below the shift rpm, then program .2-.4 sec delay on activation. Some controllers you can go by gears where you can come out of the whole with no delay then change it for each gear but if you have just a basic set up you'll have the delay from the start to. Post up what electronics you have and we'll see if it's possible with what you have.

The mini will work as I described with the delay. You'll have to play with the max rpm window and delay time to make sure the next gear is fully engaged before nitrous hits. Is the tranny flaring on the shifts now?

No, it's a fresh transmission, but it is fairly stock and I don't want to cause issues with it because it's my daily. It's making 485whp unlocked so I'm sure it's not gonna like the spray on the gear changes...

Depending on converter efficiency and shot size it might take quite a few test tries. Say the nitrous is adding 5% more slip to the converter up top. As soon as you kill the nitrous you'll either hold that rpm until tranny catches up or possibly lose a couple rpm. This would cause you to add more delay.
