Default Transmission Dimensions

Looking to do a swap into my car.
I know that the 4l80e is larger in all aspects

im looking for dimensions of a 700r4 / th4000 / TH350 / powerglide trans

i have not found ANY dimensions for width (from above) with length referenced of these transmissions. (Not overall width including oil pan)

I have labeled A,B,C for distances from the bell housing to where the width changes, measurements are taken

EX.
A. where bell housing meets body
8 inched back trans is 8 inches wide
B. Middle section of trans
16 inches back trans is 12 inches wide
C. Close to the tailshaft (not including tailshaft)
20 inches back trans is 10 inches wide

quick Example below

I have seen these dimensions listed, but don't have a link to them now.

Why not tell us what car you want to install this in; you really might not be the first one.

i know it will fit , these trans can be built to handle the power that i need.
i kno the power glide is the smallest overall and the 4l80e is the biggest
trying to get a sense on the sizes of the th350 700r4 an th400. would go with the power glide but would want 3 spd or 4 spd for some street driving

What car? If you can fit a 60e, you can fit an 80e. The tunnel on fbodys is retarded tight and the 80 goes in relatively easily.

Since two of us have asked what kind of car and you aren't telling us, we have kind of given up. Short of a BMW Isetta or a VW Bus, there is probably someone here who has installed one of these transmissions in every imaginable vehicle and can give guidance on what fits.
Also only the pros and sponsors would have all of these transmissions available for measuring. A 700R4 is very close to the size of a 4L60E.

I'm not asking if it will fit in a car that has been swapped. i'm looking to get dimensions for LxWxH for the 700r4 and Th400

Since i will have to make my own trans tunnel (700r4 or TH400)
Both can be built to handle my power goals
Im just looking to see if one is
1/2 the size of the other or
700r4 is fatter but taller or ect

i have reached out to 2 transmission companies through email and they have only provided me with the same length dimensions that can be found everywhere online.

These are rough measurements (+- 1/4") at the widest point
700R4
A-11"
B-8.5"
C-6.5"

TH400
A-10"
B-8"
C-7.5"

I would suggest deciding which transmission you want to go with, installing it or an empty case, and fabricating your tunnel our around the transmission then. With a trans in hand you may notice other features or provisions that may change how you make your tunnel.

Finally
Thank you very MUCH for the measurements!
I am planning on doing exactly that picking up a trans using an empty case for all mock ups and ect

My biggest thing was getting those measurements, based off those measurements i would choose a transmission
ex. if the 700r4 was 3 inches smaller for each measurement compared to the TH400 i would have went with the 700r4.

Since both trans are very close in case size now i just have to research and decide between
700r4 - OD, good for street
TH400 - can handle anything, may need XL trans cooler for street driving
