Default 10L90 Dimensions

Morning Guy's

Im eyeing up the 10L90 for my LTX rx7, just want to know what the dimensions are versus the tr6060 does anyone have any details?

Bump, or any idea where i could find this infomation, was perhaps thinking of asking cleveland pick a part as thats where I will probably where i will get the drop out form.

They look absolutely beastly...say they are roughly the same size as the 8l90's...there's gotta be sepcs on those floating around. Curious as to why you'd want the fitment and massiveness/weght of that trans in such a small car??

The current tr6060 is pretty wieghty itself, it's just an idea at the minute , but looks a pretty decent box

Does the 10L90 require the CAN/Car Area Network and associated sensors to be set up to shift properly like the 6L80 and some of the others require?

Have read somewhere that the 8/9/10 speed trans' have the same "silhouette" as the 6L80/90 which are identical apart from length variants.

So if a 6L90 will fit, likely a 10L90 will fit as well (length aside). Dimensions readily available for 6L80/90. If a 6060 is a tight fit, then unlikely a 6/8/9/10 would fit without tunnel expansion. But then unless someone has done it before, its gonna be suck it and see.

Yes its a CAN connected trans - need a compatible ECM. And given the MY it arrived, the TCM (like the ECM) will be highly security protected. (read up on T87A TCM's - but maybe HPT has this SHA256 key locking & Calibration Verification checking cracked ? )

Its massive. Heres a picture of mine near my 700r4. Its roughly an inch longer and 3" taller in the center. Defanently wider and taller across the center of the trans. not a very good picture but you get the idea.

Thanks for the feedback guys, what as suggested I will start digging up the dimensions for the 6l80 and go off that. Maybe that I send up with a tr6060 , be a bit gutted if I have to though.

Good idea. Heres what I found.

5. Same Size, Double The Power
With so much packed into the 10L80, it may come as a surprise that there is no significant increase in overall unit size. In fact, the 10-speed has approximately the same physical dimensions as the six- and eight-speed transmissions before it, thereby minimizing changes to vehicle interfaces.
