Converter still locking up through shifts...
I have the Yank 3000 converter in my 02 Z71. I played with some TCC tables and checked "false" on lock up converter through shifts. This is very annoying it feels like a huge bog when going through the up shifts under normal driving conditions. Please help.
Ask me questions If you think I am leaving anything out you would like to know.
Thanks,
Sean

The torque converter never locks in 1st or 2nd gear. Only in 3 and 4 and wont lock on the shifts, stock. That adjustment using true and false only controls if the TC stays locked up when shifting to 4th. It doesnt tell it to lock just for the shift. In other words, if its unlocked before the shift, it will stay unlocked just after the shift, regardless of that setting. Its something else. Torque management plays hell with a bigger torque converter...there are several places you need to remove it in edit.

I think you have to have it locked in (say) top
of 3rd WOT conditions, but you also need to
have lock conditions satisfied at the bottom
(WOT) of 4th. I know the 4th gear TCC profiles
are pretty odd, the lock/unlock line crosses
the shift line twice.
I found it all pretty messy and just eliminated
lockup in 3rd altogether. Can't say as I miss it.

I had gone through the tables and fixed those issues in the non-WOT lock and shift points set like you suggested. For example, at a given TPS (say 18%), I had:
lock-up in 3rd at 35mph
the 3-4 upshift set for 42 mph.
4th gear lock-up set for 40 mph (unlock at 35 mph),
I don't think I did anything with WOT lock-up.
There must be something else I am missing.
