Default Quick Converter question

I have a 98 LS1 I am installing into a 71 Buick GS. My transmission came from a 2003 Avalanche. I have a 4000 Yank that was in my 98 TA. Will this converter work in this later model transmission? I have found conflicting info on this.

Whats been going on Mr Steve? It has been along time. I never really completely quit playing with the LS stuff just slowed way down. About the time they quit actually racing out at the track, my daughters started really get into softball. That started consuming every extra minute I had so I pushed my car over into the corner of the shop and basically forgot about it. Now my oldest is in her 2nd year of college and my youngest is a Junior in high school so I have time to do my stuff again. I figured I would try a budget swap on my old 71 GS with a bunch of left over parts and pieces I have laying around the shop. If it works out good I plan to go all out on something different.

I have read so much transmission stuff the last few days I think I have confused myself? I could have swore that I read the 03 4L60E wouldn't work with with my setup

I will do that. I did talk to Josh Richie a few months ago. I haven't seen any of you guys in a long long time. Your ride is bad ***! I remember back in the day when you wouldn't think of do her that way. I'm glad to see that you stuck with it.
