Built 4l65e vs boost
It was worth all the money spent on fuel and tires...
Just to be able to wheel-stand the car as traffic clears in front of me!
There were a few people who's eyes seem to pop out of their head after seeing this!!! LMAO!
O yeah... I had to add the cost of new front suspension, after doing this about 3 times...

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
that’s a race car dumb dumb. They are making 50 of them captain peckerbutt. You ain’t gonna see one of those cruising down the interstate unless it’s on a Trailer. Nice try bootyhole casserole. Lol.
Since there are brand new th400 SFI cases being made...and you can get chrysler bellhousing pattern...that's a new manufacture option for chrysler. That way they don't have to source old used cases.
Just a guess

Makes sense to me.
-No SFI cases.
-No, the 727 torqueflite was renamed the 38RH.
-the 48RE is based on a 727, but has had the tail section replaced with an over-drive and over-run section, as well as an electronic valve-body (4 speed electronic over-drive trans.).
direct drums, sprags, etc crossover from the 727 to 48
but the "worm trails" in the case are different.
I know a 48re SFI case has already been cast and is in prelim testing phase...should be out within 12 months!
727 has the crutch of needing perfect band timing on the 2-3 shift and the 400 just doesn't which is another reason the 400 has always been a more popular choice

I agree it is not as ideal as the THM400 (stacked shifts), but the 38RH and 48RE definitely can handle some power.
