4l60e missing 3rd and od Hello everyone.
i searched round and couldn’t find this problem. I had my 4l60e rebuilt about 10 years ago, since then i have put maybe 1000 miles on it as i haven’t needed it and its been my slow project. I finally got it built to a place where i want to start driving it. But when i drive, it shifts from 1-2 fine then 2-3 is like throwing it in neutral, if i get 2nd up high enough i can feather the gas pedal and get it into 4th but it won’t go into overdrive. Any ideas? I have replaced basically every sensor tps etc. the rebuild was supposed to have included all new electronics, heavy duty clutch packs upgraded servo etc. any ideas?

You can connect a scan tool and determine what is being commanded.
Pair that with a line pressure test
And you'll have confirmation on the status of this unit

Which gear is being commanded
Whether or not lockup is being commanded
PCS amperage commanded vs actual
Pair all that with a pressure gauge monitoring the line pressure of the trans and you can make a good determination of what might be wrong
