Default Which tci converter for me????

I have been looking at a ssf3500 and restalling to a 3800 or I also thought about going to a compitetionb 4000.

This is to go behind a home ported head, 228/232ed 6.0 with an ls2 intake.

I think you probably ought to hit up Kevin at TCI
with that question, if you want to pour 300HP
worth of Kozmik Kool-Aid down it then you're
probably looking for something that's not in the
standard catalog. If you're looking for a nitrous
converter I think you would go down in stall
and not up, like the 3500 would probably get
stretched up to a 4000 effective anyway on
the rocket sauce. Might check for old posts by
Colonel about his TCI3500 as I believe he used
to beat on it with nitrous, see how it held up
etc. and any other perspective there.

jimmyblue is correct. With a big cube motor and alot of N2O, you'll need a very tight converter. With a 300 shot on a 408 motor, I've had great success with the Streetfighter 3000. If you want to step up to the next level...I could built you a custom converter. Kevin

Kevin, I met you here in Montgomery a couple of years ago. That Cutlass of yours in one bad machine. I would like to speak with you about a convertor. What number/time can I reach you at? Thank you for your time.

Jim C.

P.S.- Sent you a PM regarding this.

ohh I forgot....... that engine won't be mated to the 4l60e....... The 408 is a future project. The motor that is going into the car by christmas(hopefully) is going to be a NA LQ9 with a T-rex cam. This setup will not see any nitrous duty. Thats why I was thinking more along the lines of the Competition 4000.

TGIM99TA,
I like the idea of a 4000 stall converter in your present combo. You'll be in the 11s on motor real soon.

I wish I could give you a discount for driving up here, but they won't let me do that. However, Friday is pizza day, so I could probably hook you up with some lunch.
