I'm in for sure!!! I'd buy one right freaking now@

However, call me a negitive thinker but there never going to bust out with one for our cars. And if they did it would cost like $400 or some **** like that because it would have the electronic piece on the side for the PCM to know what gear we have selected (I'd still buy it even at $400).

Wait!! They could just build the shifter and make it use the existing electronic selector and just attach it to the new shifter and it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. That is if they ever decide to build us one.

I've got my fingers crossed either way. Hey you should look up all the threads at all the forum sites were people are begging for a ratchet shifter and send them an email with like 30+ threads with F-Body owners begging for an aftermarket ratchet shifter to fit factory console!

That's the one I had back then. I picked up a brand new one from a guy who had to sell his Camaro thinking I might could make it work.

No go.
I have one of these in my 02' T/A!!

I would LOVE to have a ratchet shifter... best of both worlds!!

But in reality it would probably cost $350+ but I would definitely buy it up.

Until then, a 700R4 conversion(unless you own a 93 f body) would be the best route.

I'm curious, I have always read on this site that manually shifting a 4l60E is sure death, and I have one fried tranny under my belt as evidence. when it happened everyone told me it was because I shifted my auto "manually", so am I missing something here?

The only time I really shifted my old A4 manually was to put the car into 3rd around town since it would go in and out of 4th in stop and go traffic and that can be a problem with a 4500 plus stall with heat buildup.

I currently run a B&M Pro Ratchet, in that case, no console, and drag carpet. T400.

I am running the B&M Pro Ratchet (you have to use the "universal" shifter for a 4 speed trans... Jegs 130-80842) in my car. I made it fit under the stock console with out cutting anything up. It fits in the location were the old shifter was. I used the area where the gear indicator for a switch panel. I am running a 4L80E

Ya I wanna see em too! I can't believe that the major aftermarket manufactures will not bother to spend the time to package one for F-body A4 with Console. I mean jesus what do we have to do to get the idiots to make a product we can spend our money on and fill there's?
