I've always wanted one, but stayed away from the unreasonably long adaptors and such.
I want a nice stock bolt-in replacement with a chrome T-handle. I would like one that uses the factory console.
Can't be too hard to develop, they have (many) units that fit the 700R4 - just take away the clunky rubber boot and housing and change the damn shift pattern - and provisions for the safety switch and the reverse lights !
...even just a **** replacement (chrome T-handle) that fits on the stock shifter would be adequate - ANYTHING PLEASE HELP US !!!
I'll buy two if you make them.

Yea, I would like to see one made availble but don't care for that Rubber boot thing like in the first PIC. To aftermarketee and cheap looking.
What would be nice would to have something like the old dual gate's in the early Birds and older GTO's. The console had an "h" slit in the center console and one could hit the chrome fliper plate to access the to allow the shifter to slide over to the right in the Manual shift pattern or click the chrome plate back into postion and lock out the speed shift part. It worked very cool and had a very nice quality apperance...
Maybe someone knows what I'm talking about and will post up a PIC of one for all to see.

Funny. I always thought the rubber boot was a slick way to hid the mating of the shifter to the console and made it look more stock. To me, to make a base for it that works makes it look MORE non-stock.
But, it doesn't matter to me. As long as it is plug-n-play installation and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, I would still buy it. It must look like it belongs there.
