do all converter manufactures use distintive colors to ID their brand? Wouldnt the heat from the trans peel the paint off?

Precision Industries uses pink on the Vigilante because it changes colors to different shades depending on if it's getting too much heat. So if they get one sent back, they know if it's been getting abused by too much heat or not.

Most Companies do, here is a lsit of the one I know of:

GM = metal
PI = Pink
TCI = Black
B&M = Blue (race converters are Black)
Yank = Red

ya scott, I will let ya take mine for a spin if you want as well. I have a Yank SS3600 in mine. Josh, i need to take yours and feel it. I drove vics with his vig but I dont know which 1 it was.
